Mayor Bill de Blasio Will Appoint Technological Head in Future

This time, technological updates revealed that Mayor Bill de Blasio will appointment the head for particular field of technology in the coming months, but news release has not yet mentioned about any title about it. However, many technological analysts predicted that Mayor Biaso woul announce for the Internet Week starting from 19th of May when the city’s mayor delivers keynote speech to outline his plans and objectives to deal with the competitive tech industry. Based on the speech, clearly technological news analysts and other people can understand that the new designation will have bigger duties and responsibilities as compared to some closet predecessors. The new position will locate itself close to the power center of the area i.e. inside the City Hall. 



Rachel Haot, the chief digital officer and analyst will deal with different types of tech issues faced by people under the guidance of Mayor Bill Blasio. Moreover, the Mayor will also appoint some officers possessing vast knowledge in digital and information systems to work in assistance with Rachel Haot. The team that already remained in its place will include Maya Wiley, the counseling officer of Mayor working over different issues related to broadband access for many low-income residents and citywide plans for bringing significant improvements in connectivity.


According to the statement given by Andrew Rasiej, the chairperson of NY Tech Meet up, “From everything I can tell, the administration is looking for someone, who will be responsible for overseeing all of the city's technology operations and liaising with the tech community to make sure its growth continues and is distributed equitably through all of the five boroughs.
